TeleVideo Introduces Faster, More Versatile Thin-Client Models
Upgrades Are Available for Existing Systems
LAS VEGAS – November 17, 1999 – TeleVideo, Inc. (OTC BB: TELV), today announced the latest models in its industry-leading thin-client product line. The new TC7005i, TC7155i, TC7175i, TC7345i and TC7355i thin-clients feature 32 Mb of high-speed SDRAM, IBM 3270 and 5250 terminal personalities and Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) support. The new TeleCLIENT thin-clients are the fastest, most versatile Windows-based terminals in server-based computing.
With 32 Mb RAM, users will see an increase in both performance and number of ICA, RDP and terminal sessions, supporting all 32-bit or Legacy applications on the desktop. The five new models come standard with 32 Mb RAM, and RAM upgrades are available for models already deployed, enabling all TeleCLIENT installations to enjoy increased speed and capability.
The five new TeleCLIENT models can be ordered with IBM 3270 and 5250 terminal emulations, bringing AS400 Legacy applications to every desktop on the network. These emulations join the ASCII emulations such as TeleVideo 990, ADDS and ANSI emulations such as DEC VT320, SCO Support, giving the new line of TeleCLIENTs the most complete selection of emulations available. Customers can also order the IBM 3270 and 5250 terminal emulations for their existing TeleCLIENT models.
Further enhancing the new TeleCLIENT models is TeleCLIENT Management Software (TMS), which enables system administrators to deploy, configure and manage their TeleClient thin-client systems. With TMS, MIS departments can rapidly deploy new applications throughout the network, ensuring that all departments are up and running quickly. TeleCLIENTS can be remotely administered, ensuring productivity, reliability and security to users in disparate locations. And TMS can upgrade the re-programmable flash disk in every TeleCLIENT from one centralized location, ensuring that every machine on the network has the latest configurations.
With value, experience and performance in mind, TeleVideo continues to provide innovative solutions for server-based computing needs. TeleCLIENT upgrades and enhancements are available through your local Citrix reseller and through national distributors including Merisel and DTR.
