Wall Township Public School Choose TeleVideo's Thin-Client Solutions
SAN JOSE, Calif. (BUSINESS WIRE) - November 30, 2000 - Schools face numerous challenges today, especially with limited resource and budget. TeleVideo, Inc. (OTC BB:TELV) working with Classlink, an authorized TeleCLIENT reseller, has partnered to deliver a cost effective, yet powerful thin-client computing solution to meet the challenges at Wall Township, New Jersey.
TeleVideo's TeleCLIENT product family, embodies value, experience and performance in thin-client computing. The TeleCLIENT allows IT administrators to centralize files and applications, eliminating local hard drives, floppies and CD-ROMs. Since all hardware and software upgrades are completed on the server, the Wall Township's IT administration costs are significantly reduced. With the optional TeleManager Management Software, Wall Township administrators can remotely update, configure and deploy every TeleCLIENT, further lowering their IT costs and separating TeleVideo from it's competition.
"Educators overwhelmed with increasing IT responsibilities and diminishing budget, have little time and resources to maintain our school's computer network. With the TeleCLIENT TC7005 thin client and the TeleManager Management Software, we get a simple user interface that allows us to take advantage of server based computing with minimal undertaking," said Jeffrey Janover, Director of Technology for Wall Township Public Schools. "The TeleCLIENT TC7005 will be used throughout the Wall Township Public Schools, touching the lives of thousands of students in Monmouth County, New Jersey."
"We are excited with another TeleCLIENT design win to help maximize educational dollars through innovative, cost-effective and easy-to-use thin-clients from TeleVideo," said Dr. Philip Hwang, CEO and Chairman for TeleVideo.
